The insurance company won’t cover new A/C units after a tornado

Living down south where I am living right now has some advantages and some downsides.

I grew up in the northeastern part of the country, and I never liked it there.

I loved my family, friends, and my home, but the weather was terrible. It was only hot for about half of the year. I am a man that it naturally chilly all of the time, and so living in a chilly temperature is just not fun for me. And I moved down south about five years ago. I do love how hot it is for most of the year. The only downside to where I live now is all of the tornadoes that come through here. And I have been through several tornadoes since I moved down here. Thankfully, though, just one of them did some damage to my house. The last tornado that came through here destroyed all of the windows and siding on one whole side of my house. Along with destroying the windows, it also destroyed my cooling systems. Unfortunately, both of my cooling systems were on the same side of the house, and so both of them were destroyed by the tornado’s powerful winds. I live in a pretty old house, so using window units for air conditioning is the only way I can cool off my house. And then for some reason I could not get my insurance to cover more than one of the cooling systems. So I had to pay for them out of pocket. I think it could be worse, but even going for one night without air conditioning is not fun. I hardly slept that whole the night that I did not have air conditioning. I had to go and buy a brand new cooling system the very next day. I got a superb deal on the new A/C, and I am very thankful to have a cool condo once again.
