My fiance can’t get enough of the A/C

I rearranged the residing room and the bedroom, so that her side of the bed and her number one chair happened to be located under air vents.

When my fiance Valeria first moved here from overseas, there was a crucial period of adjustment! After a year, she is finally getting comfortable and settling in, but for a while it was some serious touch and go! There was the cultural element of course, because Val speaks excellent English, even though she was still out of her element and learning current words and phrases every afternoon. She also had to adjust the foods she could find, and of course the weather conditions. She was not ready for this kind of heat and humidity, and the poor thing lived next to an air conditioner device for months! She knew all about the weather conditions here, but it’s one thing to know it and another to experience it firsthand. It turns out she was not prepared for these temperatures and humidity levels. The central A/C device was running for about 4 months straight, even at night when it totally cooled off, because it was humid 24/7. I rearranged the residing room and the bedroom, so that her side of the bed and her number one chair happened to be located under air vents. Other than the a/c device situation, she chose to adjust to life here quickly, although to be fair we didn’t go out much. Once the cold season arrives I hope the Heating and A/C device becomes less necessary, so I can start showing her around. Where she comes from it rarely gets over 70 degrees even on the warmest afternoon, and her family had never owned an air conditioner device. I am hoping the cooler weather will actually cut her reliance on a/c, but I suppose we shall see.
